Background and Aims

The conference of Group Actions and Applications in Geometry, Topology and Analyse (GAAGTA) will be held on July 21-29, 2012 in Kunming University of Science and Technology, Yunnan, China.

Groups are basic objects and have played a fundamental role in mathematics and sciences. They are the mathematics underlying the symmetry phenomenon in many different contexts. The importance of groups comes from their actions on suitable spaces or structures. The purpose of this international conference is to bring experts from different areas of mathematics where group actions have played an important role. We hope and expect that this will be an exciting conference and that it will provide a good opportunity to interact with fellow users of groups and to develop potential cooperation and interchange between different subjects.
